The (Kind Of) Good Ole Days

READ BEFORE CLICKING:

As you may, or may not know, when I was a young, naive, high school student, at the tender age of 17, I made a living by hustling freshly squeezed lemonade and hot dogs deep fried in batter. Now, you may think, “Wow, you lived in a small suburban town that still has lemonade stands? How thrilling?!” But that’s not exactly it. Think: bustling mall, standard food court, fast-food chain. Yup! You got it, I worked at Hot Dog On A Stick! AND here’s proof!

My Thoughts on “The Uniform” and the Job :

Working at Hot Dog On a Stick is definitely not for the shy, easily embarrassed type. Wearing the HDOS stripes makes you stand out in a crowded food court (You’re literally a walking advertisement!). I didn’t mind wearing it, nor did I mind the job. I actually wanted to work there, like many of the others working with me. I saw it more as a job where one got to have fun and be silly, while still working.

I mean, it is pretty embarrassing now, to tell people that I did, indeed wear that outfit and jumped up and down pumping lemonade but really, it wasn’t as bad as you’d think (or maybe HDOS really did brainwash me?)

OK, now let the laughter ensue….

What you should know before viewing the website:

-In the picture, I am the left most person.

-I have no idea why a picture from the store I worked at would make it in this person’s article.

-If I ever mentioned to you that I was pretty chubby in high school, this is proof of that too.

-If you have any questions/comments about my employment at HDOS (or anything else) please, don’t hesitate, ask me at: http://www.formspring.me/HELLOVinette
